Technical Maintenance Technician
Position Overview
Honey Green is seeking a capable and skilled Technical Maintenance Technician to perform routine and advanced maintenance tasks supporting facility infrastructure, equipment reliability, electrical systems, and regulated production environments. Reporting to the Technical Maintenance Lead, this position plays a vital role in ensuring operational continuity across cultivation, post-harvest, extraction, and manufacturing departments.
The Technical Maintenance Technician conducts preventive and corrective maintenance, supports troubleshooting for technical equipment, and assists with repairs in both standard facility areas and classified production zones.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Perform preventive maintenance on system components including pumps, valves, irrigation systems, fertigation controls, HVAC support systems, lighting systems, motors, and mechanical assemblies.
- Conduct intermediate troubleshooting on electrical circuits, switches, sensors, solenoids, and control systems under the guidance of the Technical Maintenance Lead or Senior Electrical Specialist.
- Support environmental control reliability through calibration, cleaning, and inspection of monitoring equipment.
- Assist in maintenance related to extraction, post-harvest, and cultivation support systems as directed.
- Perform repairs and adjustments to production equipment, wall-mounted systems, grow infrastructure, and mechanical/electrical support.
- Conduct walkdowns of mechanical rooms, equipment corridors, grounds, and regulated spaces to identify deficiencies requiring correction.
- Provide assistance to the General Facilities Maintenance Lead for cross-functional support when operational priorities require it.
- Accurately document repairs, inspections, PM tasks, calibration checks, and component replacements into appropriate logs or systems.
- Maintain traceability standards required in regulated manufacturing environments.
- Execute assigned work orders and preventive maintenance tasks issued by the Technical Maintenance Lead.
- Assist with troubleshooting equipment failures in a time-sensitive and safety-focused manner.
- Operate medium-to-heavy equipment such as forklifts, telehandlers, skid-steers, trenchers, scissor lifts, and other industrial vehicles as needed.
- Support tasks within regulated C1D1 and C1D2 hazardous classified spaces, following all access and safety protocols.
- Maintain tool storage, parts areas, and workspace organization.
- Conduct material handling related to facility repairs or project support.
- Follow safety requirements including PPE, LOTO, Hot Work, classified-space protocols, and facility access rules.
- Ensure maintenance work supports compliance standards for cannabis manufacturing operations.
- Immediately escalate unsafe conditions or failures requiring specialist intervention.
- Manual Dexterity and Tool Handling
- Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, medium-to-heavy equipment, and technical maintenance machinery with precision, including gripping, tightening, adjusting, terminating, and manipulating system components.
- Equipment Operation Capability
- Ability to drive and operate industrial or construction-grade equipment such as forklifts, telehandlers, scissor lifts, tractors, skid-steers, trenchers, compact loaders, and similar support equipment.
- Standing, Mobility, and Posture
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb ladders or stairs for extended periods during troubleshooting, installation, or PM work.
- Lifting and Carrying
- Regular ability to lift, move, and carry equipment, materials, or supplies weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Repetitive Motion and Strength Use
- Frequent use of hands, arms, and back for lifting, positioning components, handling tools, and performing repair tasks.
- Environmental Exposure Tolerance
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors and remain effective in varying weather conditions, including heat, humidity, cold, and moderate noise.

- Hybrid Facility Environment
- Work performed across cultivation, manufacturing, warehouse, mechanical rooms, electrical rooms, and office environments, including regulated C1D1 and C1D2 hazardous classified production areas.
- Industrial Equipment Environments
- Regular exposure to energized systems, engine noise, hydraulic movements, elevated work, and equipment operation zones requiring situational awareness and adherence to safety systems.
- Odor, Noise, and Chemical Exposure
- Frequent exposure to cannabis odors, temperature fluctuations, cleaning agents, fuels, equipment exhaust, and general facility noise associated with machinery and operations.
- Repetitive Motion and Strength Use
- Frequent use of hands, arms, and back for lifting, positioning components, handling tools, and performing repair tasks.
- Environmental Exposure Tolerance
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors and remain effective in varying weather conditions, including heat, humidity, cold, and moderate noise.

- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2–4 years industrial, technical, facility maintenance, or electrical support experience preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude with willingness to learn advanced troubleshooting.
- Ability to work in C1D1/C1D2 regulated spaces under supervision.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detailed documentation.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Missouri Agent Card.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving history.
- Forklift Operator Certification (Class I–VII)
- Aerial Lift / Scissor Lift Certification
- Telehandler or Compact Loader Certification
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 (General Industry or Construction)
- Basic Electrical Safety or LOTO training
- Fall Protection Awareness or Confined Space Orientation
